30% MORE space!

We now have what feels like, a LOT more space!
We have our 2nd guest room..
A new bathroom!  Kyle did it all!  He put in a toilet!  Who knew he could do that?!!!  He put in the light fixtures, mirror, sink, back-splash, and shower!  I am so impressed with his mad handy man skills!
Kyles MAN CAVE! It is not fully decorated yet, but it has all of his favorite things!
He even has a computer to work in peace and quiet
MY DANCE STUDIO!  My favorite place in the house!  I love love love love it!  I know have nearly 30 students!  It is
 Most of the mirrors!
 The floor!
Kyle made himself a work bench!  It is the most sturdy and heavy bench I have EVER seen!  Way to be hubby!
Now that we have 3 stories of usable space to live in, we are trying to figure out what to call each level.  Upstairs, main?, and basement/downstairs?.  Levels 1, 2, & 3?  ha ha

ALL Done!

We, (ok... mostly Kyle) finished the basement!
Whoot whoot!
Here is the dance floor, mirror, and
gem turquoise wall!
I got the vinyl from my dear friend Maryanne.
"I hope you dance"  and "5..6..7..8..."  And I absolutely love it!
I decided to add a second mirrored wall.
We have two bedrooms and a bath done too!  (Kyles Man Cave, and a guest room)

Here is the new bed, bedding, and a piece of family artwork my Great Aunt Zelma Basha did.
She really captured the AZ dessert in this one!
Love this new space!
We are not done with decorating,
but one thing at a time right!?!!!
More pics will follow of the man cave and bathroom.
My man worked like a dog to get this done.  And it has only been done for one week, and we have already had 2 family visits with sleepovers in the new bed!
Love the dance room, love my husbands work ethic, love the extra space, Love it all!

Dance Progress

Well.. We have all of the trim done, all of the walls are painted!  Kyle is working on the wood floor as I blog!  I am SO excited!  We went with the gem turquoise color.  (in the pic it looks more blue).
But here are some pics for you to see!
Kaylee is just as excited about this space as I am... well, almost!
Just seeing this wood floor go in, is like a DREAM come true!
And thanks to this man right here, he is making ALL of my dreams come true!  Love him!
This is a better pic for the color.  It is paired with a sandstone color, with white trim.
If any of you are feeling the need to get your dance on, just come on over!

Scattered

My entire family is in Arizona.  Kyles Dad lives in AZ (sort of), Jake is in Afghanistan, Kyles sisters are in LA. and Alabama, and Kyles mom just moved to CALIFORNIA!
So our family is officially ScATTerEd!!! :(
So when Paul and Kathie were about to move, we had a little dinner for them!  I drove to Sanpete County and got some sentimental Sanpete Marinated Turkey!  We also put together a "Moving to CA survival kit!"  It included, tissue for Kathie, treats galore for the drive, trash bag, colored pages from the kids, sunflower seeds to keep awake etc...  Here are some of the pics from their last night in UTAH.
The kids were using the place-mats as hats!  Silly kids.
Then they got grandma to wear the new stylish hat!  She willingly obliged.
 The engaged couple!  ;)
Kyle looking at ALL OF THE PAINT swatches for the basement!  The look on his face says it all right!
 Kathie and I
We love Kathie and Paul, and wish them the very best on their new adventure in CA.!

Update

I have offically decided on a color for the dance studio!
I am going to do a fun turqouse color!  Not too girly, but still pretty fun!
If you want to see the actual color, it is on the Behr website.  It is gem turqoise. (you will have to search for it, mom.)  I will do a more neutral color on three of the walls, and the fun color around the mirrored wall!

We have sheet rock up, textured, and primed!  Doors and trim are coming today.  We will be painting the rest of the week.  The wood floor is ordered and coming within a week!
It is coming along!  Whoot whoot!

I have 3 dance classes already FILLED!  And there is a growing waiting list for next semester!

A dream come true!

Basement!

Our basement is coming along!  I thought it would be fun to do a little progress report!
This was our basement a few months ago!
(Notice the walls, there is no framing, no interior insulation.)

I cant believe it!
We had it framed!
Then my genius husband did all of the electrical.  And since we are doing a dance studio, he did some cool lighting.  They are canned lights AND he put them on three zones with dimmer switches!  He wired the walls for speakers!  He even wired it for a projector screen for when we want to have a movie night, the dance room can double as a theater room.  Genius I tell ya, genius!
Then Kyle added the insulation!  Every time we had a new step completed, he would say, "These walls are closing in!"
Then we got a new french door for the basement.  (Take note to the guy walking thru it.)

Sheet Rock!  It is starting to really look like a dance studio down there!  We also are doing a couple of bedrooms and a bathroom.  I am thrilled!  It is so close, I can almost taste it.  Having my own dance studio has been a dream of mine for MANY years now.  My hubby is helping my dreams come true!  Thanks hon!
Here is my hero, with the speaker cords that he wired!  I am so proud of him!  He just finds something he wants to do or learn... and then DOES IT!  He does research galore, and then he teaches himself new trades and talents!
Now for you faithful followers AND blog stalkers, I need some help!  WHAT COLOR should I paint in my dance studio?  Now before you go rattling off cutsie girlie colors, I may be teaching boys and married couples dance too.  NOW go.  Give me your best ideas!

Christmas Morn!

Christmas was a special day this year!  Not only for the fun of the three little kiddos waking up and checking the plate of cookies and Santa Gifts, but it was Sunday!  Sunday was a special day of the week to remember the birth of our Savior!  We opened up gifts, got ready, and then went to an amazing Sacrament (church) meeting!

Above: is Kon-man SUPER excited to see Santa brought him a train/truck track!  It even lights up!
Kase just wanted the candy and bows.  But isn't he cute!  He scored a sit on cow and some bath toys!
Kaylee got a Rapunzel Tower!  She was soooo happy!
After church, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's traditional Christmas Dinner!  Good food and Grandpas homemade ice-cream!  YUM!
Then we ventured onto Mt. Pleasant to see Keith, Lynn, and the Osborne crew.  If you are wondering why Kyle and I are wearing sombreros and shaking maracas, it is because we are going to have another themed party when we go to Lake Powell in the summer.... Mexican Fiesta!  (Last year, we did a pirate party.)  We are kinda crazy, I know... But our family sure knows how to have a fun time at Powell! -Don't knock it, till ya try it!
I had to add this pic of Kase!  We got back home, and cleaned up the house.  He has been doing the famous "TOUCH DOWN" move for weeks.  But I got a pic of it to remember how cute it was.
Now on a different note:
Honorable mention award goes to this pic....  You wonder why?... Well.  Look at the top 2/3rds of our tree... Pretty full and pretty right?  Now look at the bottom 3rd.... nothing but lights, and bent branches.  You still confused?  Well... the culprit is in this very pic!  He had a hay day with our decorations on the tree.  So I had to move it all UP.   In fact, both of our trees were like that!  This was our candy cane tree... and the other tree is in the front window.  He pulled anything and everything he could reach off the tree, and undid the lights every chance he got.  In fact, he nearly tipped the tree over on top of him multiple times!  Stinker!  But a cute stinker!
