Calf Ropin a 3 year old

Kyle and Kaylee love to play and be silly together. Last Sunday, Kyle somehow got it in his head to calf rope Kaylee. Of course he couldn't just stop there. He decided since calf ropers are very fast, that they should also be seen in slow motion.
So, for your pleasure we have calf roping in regular speed and in SLOW motion too! Enjoy!

Kyle in the "Music room"

We decided to make the formal living room into a "Music Room". At this point in our lives, we are not really the "Formal Living Room" type of family. What better way to show off my husbands mad guitar skills! ha ha. I am in awe every time I hear him play. He is amazing! Here are a couple pics of him using our music room for the first time.I am a lucky girl! He is a wonderful guitar player, and his music fills our home with entertaining fun and gives Kaylee and I some good music to dance to!

Kaylee's 1st Play date at the house

Kaylee wanted her friends to come see the new house from day 1. She really misses her little cul-de-sac buddies. (As do I). So, we planned for Wendy, Ayden, Claire, Shelly, Kate, Zack, & Andrew to come over for a lunch-play date. We had a lot of fun watching the kids run at full speed throughout the house, dressing up in their princess dresses, and just being together.
Kate and Kaylee were the only ones that wanted to stop eating to pose for a pic. All the others were enjoying their mac & cheese, apples, juice etc... and they were enjoying the view of the farmland.
Zack was running in this pic, even though he doesn't look like it.
Kate and Clair were at full speed ahead, even though Claire looks like she is just leasurly walking.
Ayden is leading the pack around the house!

Knee-Scooting-Catipillar

Konnor has not yet started to crawl or walk yet. Thursday, May 28th 2009 Konnor made up his own mobile move. He had figured that if he is on his bum, then he can rock forward onto one knee and reach things. Well, after a couple months of that, he decided to branch out a bit. He starts on his bum and then still rocks forward like before. But now he reaches his arms forward, and pulls or scoots his legs inward, like a "catapillar".
Now I call his new move the "Knee-Scootin-Catapillar"!

He now scoots around the house with this proud look on his face. I think he is just adorable!
Let the real baby-proofing begin!

Pics of our BIG MOVE!

Our first family Picture at our new home! (Just before church)
What an adventure this week has been.... I will try to give you the run down of our crazy week.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of last week, we packed and packed and packed! Wednesday after work, Kyle picked up the moving truck and then came home just in time for me to leave with the kids to pick up my sister, Tracy from the airport. She flew in for a week from Arizona. Hoping to spend the week in our new home and doing fun touristy things here in Utah. WOW... was she in for a rude awakening. :) We closed on our house a LOT later than we thought. So, she planned her trip far enough away from our moving date that we could just relax and enjoy our time together. Therefore, we got back from the airport JUST in time to help the guys from the ward move all of our boxes into the moving truck. (Thanks again to all the people who helped us move! You were all a big help!) Then that night we drove to Saratoga Springs. Along came my wonderful sister and Kyle's crazy-awesome cousin, Cody. We got to the house famished, so Tracy and I drove to get some Beto's for dinner. We ate standing around the kitchen island. Kyle and Cody set up the crib for Konnor and Kaylee's toddler bed. What wonderful and thoughtful men they are! But as for the rest of us... we slept on the floor. Thank you to Wendy for lending us sleeping bags and pads. You are the best! Kaylee knew that we slept on the floor, so when she got up on Thursday morning, she wanted to do the same. Below, is Kaylee crashed on the floor. She was zonked!Below: This is Friday when we went to the "old" house to clean. What wonderful friends I have! There were many sisters from our old ward to help clean and take care of the kids. Thank you to all that came and helped! (Sister Chipman, Sister Allen, Sachi, Tionna, Wendy, Shelly, Becki W., my mother-in-law Kathie, and of course my sister, Tracy!) If I missed someone, I apologize, I was breathing in the cleaning supply fumes! :) After cleaning, I went to Shelly's backyard where the kids were playing. I had to take a pic or two. I have really really really really enjoyed living in the "sac" (Cul-de-Sac) with such good neighbors- whom I can totally trust and rely on!
Then I hugged my friends and away I went. Tears were streaming down my face for the next few miles... Until I had to regroup for the sake of seeing where I was driving. Man, I love that group of friends! I hope we will always be close.

Below: This is Friday afternoon. Kyle was playing with the furniture the night before. It is a big room, and we can do just about anything with the arrangement.
Konnor, was smiling for the camera!
Here is my NEW KITCHEN! I have storage space for ALL of my kitchen supplies. I don't know if you know me very well, but I have a A LOT of kitchen things, catering supplies, baking etc... And it ALL FITS!
Funny story: On Wednesday, the moving truck was almost full, and they were loading our kitchen table. (We were given this table when we were married, from Nana. It must have been 100 years old.) Anyway... I hear someone say, "OH NO! I am so sorry Kyle!!!" I came around the corner and see that Kyle is holding the corner leg to the table. Totally torn off the table. No fixing job will do on this one! Kyle just told them all to take the table out and put it in the trash because we have a "table fund" started already to buy a new table. But really! So, now we have this nice house, nice kitchen, and we are using a wabbly card table with folding chairs! :) Now, we need to start putting money into the "Table fund" a little faster! ha ha
Kaylee posing for the picture in my shoes. She is such a funny little thing!
Sunday night: My sister and I making Lebanese Macaroni!!!!!!! Woah, that was good. We had that dish regularly growing up. Since I am half Lebanese, (my dad is full).... it was a dish that he had growing up too. The smell, just took me back! The taste, was a taste of home. And I still have some left overs! Yippee! (Recipe can be given upon request)In conclusion, I love our new home, I love my family, I love all of my friends, and I feel REALLY blessed! And I would love to have you come visit us at our new home!

We moved in!

Ok, so there is A LOT to say in this post. But I am a little short on time and sleep. ha ha
We moved out on Wednesday, and in to the house on Thursday. WOW! It feels great to finally be a home owner. I feel like a real grown up now! lol My sister, Tracy flew into town on the day we were moving. Poor thing, she thought she would come on vacation and stay at the new house in the guest bedroom... NO NO NO. We didn't close on the house when we thought we were going to, and she has helped us MOVE! She slept on the floor the first night. I feel horrible about that. But it has been such a blessing to have her here to help me out.
Kaylee is liking her new room and her new house. She has been having fun exploring and riding her trike one way down the street. It is WAY to steep to come back up! :) Konnor has been a little fussy, with a cold. Ok, a LOT of fussy. We are also transfering him to cows milk now that he is over a year. It has been a lot for the poor little guy. Kyle has been HARD at work. What a wonderful man he is! He hasn't stopped moving and working since we got here. We unpacked most of the boxes within the first 24 hours. I was pretty impressed with that myself. I love our new home.

WE CLOSED!

F.Y.I. Yesterday, on Kyles birthday we closed on our new home! We are SO EXCITED! This whole process is a roller-coaster ride that took WAY too long! But it finally happened! What a b-day gift for Kyle huh... a new home and a nice fat mortgage! We will probably get the keys to the property on Tuesday... and move on Wednesday! Wow! Now it is for real!

Happy Birthday Honey

I would just like to say to my hubby, Happy Birthday.
He is 28 years tomorrow! (May 14th).
Kyle, you have been such a wonderful husband to me, and father to our children. You are a hard worker, faithful priesthood holder, and very loving to me. I am so thankful that I get to spend ETERNITY by your side. You are my world and I love you with all my heart! I hope you have a wonderful day!

The Actual Day

Happy 1st Birthday Konnor! We had his party, the day before.
However, on the actual day, it was full of fun!
Konnor playing with a balloon! I thought for sure he was going to pop it. My eyes were squinted the whole time! But he was having a blast, laughing and squeeling!
We had to wake up at 5 A.M. to take mom to Mt. Pleasant on Konnor's Bday. She had to drive back to AZ. with Grandma Lynn. We are all a little sleepy in this picture!

Since we were already in Sanpete County, I decided to take the kids to visit their Great Grandparents in Ephraim, Utah. They don't get to see them nearly enough! So, here is
Konnor at the famous low window at Great Grandma Petersons house. He had so much fun there!
Konnor and Great Grandpa Peterson.
When Kyle got home from work, we wanted to do something fun as a family. And what better thing to do, than go to the PARK! So, we played and played and played! Konnor sure loves his Daddy! (As you can see in this picture)

Konnor and I cheesin on the slide!

Konnor's First Birthday!!!!

WOW! It is really hard to believe our little Kon-man is a year old! Where in the world did those last 12 months go?! We had a fun party for Konnor. We did an all-sports theme. We had a baseball cake, and some fun activities for the guests. (well, I thought they were fun anyway!)
1. I had a jar of cheerios, and the guests had to guess how many there were. My genius hubby guessed within 3 cheerios!
Then my mother in-law, Kathie came the 2nd closest!
2. I put together a Time Capsule for Konnor. So all the guests wrote a note to him. And then the capsule will be opened on his 12th Birthday.
(We did one for Kaylee's first b-day too)
P.S. If you want to write him a note, just email me.
Here are some of my favorite pics. I had a TON to choose from.
(Slideshow is not working for me)
Here is Konnor in his "clean" high-chair!
Below: Emily, Jen, Lynn, Konnor, and Keith peekin up top!
"The leaning tower pose". He is not yet crawling. But he is getting REALLY close.
Babies are all so different huh!

Below: Snapshot of the family!

Konnor, clean, curious, cute, and did I say, clean?

Touch Down! AKA: SOO BIG, AKA: All Done
Nothing else can be said about that one!
Except a bath immediately after this pic.

Happy 1st Birthday Konnor!

Today is Konnor's 1st Birthday! When I get a second to post pics, I will! I just love that little Konnor! He is my little sweetie!
