Thanksgiving Day 4

Happy Thanksgiving! I am one day late, but I was too busy eating to blog!
There are so many things that I would like to say. I am thankful for a lot of things. But today I will express my gratitude for all of my extended family and good friends. It is so nice to have great family and close friends. It is comforting to know that I have people that are always there for me. To my family in Arizona, I would like to thank you for always loving me. I love you all very much in return. Distance can't change or lessen our love. To my in-laws, I would like to express my gratitude for you. Not only do I have one set of in-laws.... I have TWO sets. I am so lucky to have married into your family. You are a blessing to me. And last but not least, to my friends, I would like to thank you for being there for me. Any time of day or night I know I can call you for anything. To my bestest friends, you know who you are, I love you and am very grateful for you in my life.

Now it is the beginning of Christmas! I am sooooo excited to reflect on the birth of our Savior! He is the reason for the season!

Thanksgiving Day 3

Today I would like to express my gratitude for my husband's job. What a blessing it has been in our lives. In a time of such uncertainty, it is a real comfort knowing that Kyle has a stable, predictable, and rewarding job. For those of you who don't know what he does: He works for Digicert. When I am asked what he does, I jokingly respond with something like, "I haven't the faintest idea. All I know is he gets paid 2 times a month." But in reality, his company issues digital certificates. In more detail and to the best of my simple brain, when you go to a website and enter any kind of secure or personal information there is a little lock box that appears in the corner of your browser URL bar. That ensures that the information is encrypted and safe. Digicert validates companies and issues SSL Certificates for their websites and servers. His company has issued certificates to NASA, FBI, United Nations, Facebook, US House of Representatives, BMW, Sony, & The New York Times to name a few.
Kyles' boss is wonderful and VERY generous. His co-workers are a lot of fun. We are very blessed that Kyle has his job with Digicert!

Thanksgiving day 2

So, this is day 2 of the things I am grateful for.

I would love to express my gratitude for my Father In Heaven and my Savior, Jesus Christ.  I am thankful for their unconditional love for me, answers to my prayers, and the sweet whisperings from the Holy Ghost.  The gospel has brought me the most joy in my life.  I know my Father in Heaven is aware of us and our needs, potential, and the desire of our hearts.  I know that the Savior paid the ultimate price for us to return to live with them after this life.  The atonement was not a cheap price to pay and it is incomprehensible for us to fully understand that selfless act of love.  But I do know Jesus loves each and everyone of us more than we know. He walked without sin, and died for us to be cleansed of our sins.  I know that the Holy Ghost testifies to us of truth.  He will guide us in our path through life if we are listening.  I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true and living church upon the earth and is led by the Savior.

Twilight The Movie Was AWESOME!

Last night we went to the 10:40 showing of Twilight.  It was fantastic.  There were Twilight Fans all over!  (For those of you who have not seen it yet, I won't spoil anything.)  The movie was great.  There was a lot more humor than I expected!  It had action, romance, drama, humor suspense & best of all Bella and Edward.  Our shirts turned out to be a hit!  I hope Kyle can swallow some male ego pride and come with me to see it again. I think even he would like it (if he allowed himself to)!  Here are the pics from our fun night!

Karen in her shirt that reads, "FOUND MY EDWARD"

Sarah, Karen, & Marie.
(Sarah's shirt says, "Bite me!" and Marie and I have the same, "Found My Edward"

Sarah, Karen, Marie, and yes Marie's husband Anthon!
(Anthon's shirt says, "Edward Who?")

The whole Twilight crew!
Marie, Sarah, Karen, Kathie, & best of all-Paul!
(Kellie, my sister in-law took the pic)

Before & After Braces

So, here we are at age 30 ~ getting braces!  Go figure.  I guess I am holding on to my youth!  ha ha. Kyle said, "You could pass for 19-20 years old!"  Not bad, I think.  Before I got my braces, I wanted to eat ALL OF THE THINGS I WON'T BE ABLE TO EAT WITH BRACES!  So here are the things I ate the 2 days before braces: corn on the cob, taffy, 20 pieces of gum, 2 nights of popcorn, and my favorite special treat, CARAMEL APPLES!

BEFORE BRACES

AFTER BRACES
(I look younger huh)
Again, I would like to thank my thoughtful, generous, loving, wonderful husband!  This was his gift to me for my 30th birthday.  I have always wanted braces!  He is seriously the best thing that has ever happened to me!  I know he is a gift sent from my Father in Heaven!

Now that I have them, I am excited, but wondering: what the heck did I get myself into! ha ha.  Luckily, I have not had ANY pain whatsoever!  I was warned by many how bad it hurts in the beginning.  But honestly, it hasn't hurt one bit.  The only problem thus far is I hate getting things in my teeth, now I get stuff in my braces and it is driving me crazy!  But I will get over that, hopefully soon.  I will keep you posted on my progress!

Twilight, I've been biten

This Twilight phenomenon has swallowed me whole.  I love it.  Thanks to my mother-in-law, Kathie and good friend Marie,  I have read all the books and am a Twilight junkie.  This weekend the movie is released and we are GOING!  Marie is even making us shirts.  Pictures will follow.  But I just wanted to say, "I am so excited to go see the movie!"  Kyle is the best hubby ever and is watching the chitlins while I go see it.  Those going with are; Kathie, Paul, Marie, Anthon, Marie's sister, and I.  It will be so fun!

Funny Thing Kaylee said.

Ok.. first of all you have to get the tune in your head.  Start humming the tune,
"Hacuna Matada" from Lion King. And now... this is Kaylee's version of that song.
Be prepared to pee your pants.

Hakuna Matata!
What a wonderful phrase

Hakuna Matata!
Ain't no passing craze

It means no worries
For the rest of your days

It's our problem-free, "colonoscopy"
Hakuna Matata!

Kaylee is my lil doll

Friday was Kaylee's best friend, Aydens birthday.  So she got all dressed up for her first "pretend" tea party.  She wore the beads, bows and the pretty dress. It was adorable.  She is my little sweetie-pie! And she is a wonderful daughter. I love her!

Konnor is 6 months

Konnor is now 6 months old.  Crazy how time flies when you are having fun.  He is such a doll! I mean: a handsome lil' fella.  We gave him his first solid food on Sunday.  He had his Dr. Apt. on the 5th and he is 16 lbs. 14 oz. ( 36% percentile).  Konnor is now 26.25 inches long (45% percentile).  He has been so dang cute lately.
He finally will roll onto his back from his stomach.  He has 2 teeth on the bottom.
And that about sums it all up without being too wordy.
Here are some pics of our lil' handsome man.

Here is Konnor's First solid food feeding!  Quite a little family affair.

Yum yum for the tum tum.  Mostly, he didn't really know what to do yet.  Very cute.
