So, my 30th Birthday was one of the best days of my life! (Aside my marriage and the birth of my children). It started at 6 am. The first gift was given by our little 5 month old Konnor. He SLEPT from 8pm to 6 am. NO WAKING! It was Heaven Sent! Then I was "ordered" to shower and get dressed. So, I obeyed and then Kyle and Konnor were waiting for me in the living room. Kyle told me to sit down and close my eyes. He then brought two gifts into the room. The first one was from the kiddos. It was my favorite lip gloss and chapsticks (Watermelon Lip Smacker). Very cheesy-Teenager-like... but I don't care! I love it!

Then Kyle tells me that it is time to open the gift he is giving me. He has been building this up for months. He told me that this gift is going to be the best ever. I will remember it forever! He hands me my present, I open it up... and it is a "Knee Brace". Yah... what's so cool about that? I look at him confused, and say... "A knee brace?" He then covers up the word "Knee". And I say... you are getting me a "Brace-let". He said, "even better, I am getting you braces!!!!!!". I have wanted braces for the past 17 years! I immediately was bawling! I am so freaking excited to get braces! It was the perfect way to start my 30th birthday! I have the best husband in the entire world! I am so excited and overjoyed!

Then we hop in the truck and go for a "drive". We go through McDonalds Drive-Thru. And end up at my father-in-laws house in Mt. Pleasant. He suspiciously meets us outside his house. He gave me a hug and asked, "well... what are you doing here birthday girl?" I had suspicions, but nothing even close to the next surprise awaiting me! We got the kids out of the truck and walked to the front door and went in. There were a couple cameras aimed at me... and then I realized why... MY MOM AND MY SISTER, TRACY DROVE ALL NIGHT WITH LYNN (my mother-in-law) FROM ARIZONA!!!!!!!! I was crying once again... and it was only 8:30 in the morning. My sister has never come to visit me at my home in Utah. So, that was the most wonderful present EVER! It made my 30th Birthday perfect!
We Later went to Cornbelly's Maze at Thanksgiving point... and I had my 30th Birthday Party! It was an Iron Chef Potluck Competition. I was the judge. The contestants had to incorporate the color of orange and/or brown and plate their dish. There were two winning categories; Plating/presentation and the taste! Plating award went to Marie Mecham and the Taste went to Heather Larson! Great job.
Pictures are in the slideshow below of the whole day! My mom and sister, Cornbelly's Maze, and my Iron Chef Party. Thanks to everyone who came, it was a fantastic birthday! I couldn't have asked for more!
