Kaylees birthday part 2- TANGLED

Kaylee LOVES the movie, Tangled!  So we just HAD to do a Tangled themed party!  Which I was really excited about.  There was not much online yet, so I had to get creative.  I have heard that the invitation really sets the tone of the party.  So, I saw an idea online, that I liked and I wanted to tweek it a bit to be more fitting!  Here is the invite:
I tried to make it look like a tower...
Thanks to my friend Anne, she really helped me with the photoshop inside...
The back we put the Tangled sun medallion on it.  I also couldn't resist calling myself, "queen Karen"  ha ha.
Here are the decorations:
The front door!  Kaylee and I braided this hair for about an HOUR!  Geesh... that was hard work!  But fun accent!
Of course we had to have Rapunzel's hair ALL over the house!
I printed off these banners at my new fave. copy place in American Fork, ut.  "Copy That" right by Hobby Lobby.
When the kids arrived, they go to follow Rapunzel's hair in the house and it led you to the spot you drop your presents off, and then it KEPT going through the house and outside to a Princess Bouncy Castle!  That was a major hit!  I highly recommend the company- Jump For Joy.
Kaylee begged me to make her a yard sign.  So, I tried to do my best last minute.
I borrowed Rod Iron frying pans (Rapunzels weapon of choice) and used them as center pieces.

For the cake, I recreated the lake scene.  I only had about an hour to frost it, but I think it turned out well... I did a 3 layer cake, chocolate, strawberry, and then chocolate.  I put cupcake bushes around the lake.

My friend Cheryl was in town so she helped me frost the left over cupcakes with the blueish-purple color, and I piped out yellow hair on them.  ha ha
Here is part of the party crew.  We had 16 kids here!  wowsas!
Princess Kaylee with her favorite part- the Bouncy Castle!
They stopped to pose for all of 5 seconds before they started giggling and bouncing again!
My fave. part was when we did the dancing scene from the movie!  Kyle had our sound system set up... (if you look closely, you can see all of the big speakers and monitors!  I even had a microphone to teach the dance!)
Kaylee and Laynee danced in the middle of the circle and everyone had a great time!
Kaylee making her wish... I just loved this pic of her.
Dad and baby brother were here too.  So, was I but, of course I was taking all of the pics.  So i wasn't in any of them.  ha ha
The party after present time, posing for the camera!  What a little cheesy group of kids!  ha ha  Love them!
As favors, Kaylee and I thought it would be appropriate to give out a paint set.  Since Rapunzel LOVED to paint!  I tied some hair to it too.
And everyone got to pick out some Tangled candy from the big frying pan!
All in all, I think the kids had a fun time.  I KNOW Kaylee did!  I sure love her!
Happy 6th Birthday my little sweetie!  And thanks to all who helped me out one way or another with this party!  (Kyle, Shelley, Cheryl, Stacy, Shari, Jen, and Sarah etc...)

Kaylee turned 6! Part 1

We started the party weekend with a surprise from mom and dad!  A princess bike!  Rather than the hand-me-down boy bike that is way too small for her!  We searched high and low for a Rapunzel bike, but could only find one that was online only. So we are going to get Rapunzel accessories down the road!
But she LOVES her bike, and told her brother that her "old" bike is all his!  He was jumping for joy!  Literally!

Out With The Old, In With The New...

The VERY same day that Kaylee lost her top, left tooth.
Kase cut his top, left tooth!

I mean, what are the chances of that?!  I know babies put everything in their mouths... but I had no idea he was in cahoots with the tooth-fairy and snatched it from her!
You can't see his tooth in this pic, but just trust me!  (and you can trust his red eyes).
Oh and for the record, this was the day of Kaylee's dance recital.  (June 22nd).

9 months!

Ok... so I am a little behind in the posting.  Sorry...
But our little baby Kase is growing up so fast!
He now has 2 teeth (as of his 9 month mark).
He is on all fours, and does the rocking motion.  It is funny bc you will leave him in one spot, and a minute or so later you will walk back into the room and he will be about 10-15 feet across the room!   He is not crawling yet, but is SO close!  It is a funny movement he does.  He will move his arms forward and then it looks like there is an invisible rope around his legs when he tries to move them forward!

He weighs 19.16 lbs.  which puts him in the 21% Percentile.  I thought he would be a bit more.  I mean look at those cheeks!
He is 28.5 inches long.  That is the 50% Percentile.
His head is 18.5 inches.  87% Percentile.  So I guess he has a big head.  ha ha   VERY smart!

Our little Kase man, is just so lovey and snuggly!  He loves to snuggle right up close!  And his momma can't get enough of him!  And take not at those thighs... I just have to squeeze and kiss him all day long!

JUMP!

Look at the air he got!
Boredom?  I think not.  Just joy!
 A little goofy, yes.
Who else jumps for the camera on Sunday in their church clothes?
WE DO!

4th Fun with Family n Friends

We had a super fun 4th Weekend!  On the 2nd, we went to Provo,ut. and watched the firework show outside the stadium of fire!  We called up my dear friends Heather and Kirk the morning of and within 10 min, we had our whole day and night planned!  Kirk saved us some good blanket spots right next to the tailgate of the truck and Kyle ordered pizza to a street corner... (which i had no idea they would even do!  Go Papa Johns!)  Above is our sweet Baby Kase in his "Baby's first 4th" shirt.
Kaylee girl in her patriotic outfit!  She picked it out herself!
Kaylee, me, and Konnor.  (my arm shadow looks like a gorilla or something!  ha ha) didn't notice that until now.
The girls posin for the pic!  Heather is so creative!  ha ha
The ice cream man came around when we were eating pizza... I convinced him to come back in about 45 min.  Then we would be ready for ice cream... Heather said, "I am very persuasive.  I don't know what that meant exactly... but we WERE missionaries together. ha ha  And yes for the record... I couldn't decide which ice cream to get, so I got TWO.  I later realized I couldn't eat them both fast enough so my sweet little niece helped me out!
Below:  Kon man eating his rainbow snow cone!
Our dear friends!  Heatha, Kirk, and Kids
Here is our little family!  Cheesin little Konnor cracks me up!  I sure love him!
F-16 fly by!  That was a highlight for us all!  Especially my dear hubby!
Then Sunday rolls around, we went to church and then drove to Mt. Pleasant!  Here is Konnor playing in his church clothes in grandpas back yard!
Monday- we went to the parade in Mt. Pleasant.
Kyle doing his new trick with Kase.
The kids with grandpa Keith getting candy!  We still have a diaper bag FULL!
And there we just happened to run into Kyles life long best friend!  Scott and Marie!  What a treat that was.  I got quite a few pics of these two guys talking!  And talking, and talking!  ha ha

While Marie and I got caught up.  It is so fun to talk to her.  I found out she is my blog stalker.  ha ha  Now she will read this and get a good laugh.
Then that night we went to the bouncy houses by the fireworks, and The kids got to have a lot of fun sliding and bouncing.  Oh yeah, I got to go on them all too.  Kyle didn't realize he had 4 kids!  ha ha
Happy 4th of July to all!  What a wonderful country we live in!  I am so proud to live here and enjoy the freedoms of this great nation.  I am also grateful for our military family!  Sgt. Grandma Lynn in Baghdad, and Private Cox in Germany!  We love you!  God bless the USA!

Summer ABC's

Our little family got together and made a list of the ABC's.  Each of us got to add the things we wanted to do this summer.  I think it will be fun!  We have already marked off 5 things!  It should be fun!  We hung it in the kitchen so we can see it and plan out the things we still need to do this summer.  I don't want it to be a boring summer!!!  Can you tell?!!

I got this idea from my friend Kari.  Thanks lady!
