Dance!

Kaylee danced in the "12 Dancing Princesses" dance recital.  She did a wonderful job!  And she smiled the WHOLE time!  She even lost her top tooth a few HOURS before she went on stage!  Luckily, we took a bunch of shots at the dress rehearsal! ha ha  She was beautiful with her tooth and without it!
I mean, could a 5 year old be ANY cuter than this?
Our little family on stage after her recital!  Kase just wanted the flowers!  Konnor just wanted to run around, but we snagged them for this pic!
Great job Kaylee girl!  I am so proud of you!  You are a natural performer!

Kindergarten Graduation

Kaylee with her teacher, Mrs. Peterson.  She absolutely adored her teacher!
She was handing Kaylee, her diploma!!!!
Kyle and I with our little "GARDENER", soon to be a "Grader".
The whole class of 2023!
The kindergarten graduation, was so darling!  They sang quite a few songs. They did a video presentation, and shockingly, I was crying!  The video had the song "Let them be little" in it and I lost it!  Then they played this song, "It Wont Be Like This For Long".  There was no hope for a sappy mom, who just adores her little kindergarten princess!  Just looking up there at my baby girl with her graduation cap on put the lump in my throat!  She is growing up so fast, and now all I want is for her to slow down.  Life is so short, and I am trying to slow the hands of time.  Just knowing that before long, she is not going to need me as much as she does now, or need me to tuck her in every night.  I realize that my job is to raise her the best I can and then let her grow up and create a life of her own.  But when I was watching that sweet video, I just wanted to hold on to her sweet, spirited, youth!  I want to be silly with her and live together in joy and love.  I want her to remember her mom as one who was happy, silly, and devoted my all to her and her brothers.
Kaylee, I am so proud of you and the student you have become!  You are so smart and full of tenderness and joy!  I love you my little "Gardener"!

Drawer a Day Challenge

I am in need of sorting through the junk in my house.  But I feel a little overwhelmed at tackling it all at once.  So this is going to be my challenge to myself this summer:  I am going to sort and clean through one drawer a day.  (mon-sat) until I get every drawer in my house cleaned out! Everything from the junk drawer to utensils, to sock drawer etc..  I think I can do that.  And if I get a longer time to commit on one day, who knows, I may just do 2 drawers!  But I think this is an obtainable goal.  If you want to join me, make a comment below and we can keep each other motivated to get our homes in order!
Let me know what is working for you in your home and what is not.  Good luck to us all in the battle to a cleaner and more efficient home!  After-all, the Lord wants our homes to be a house of order!

“Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God” (D&C 88:119).

Princess DANCE Recital

My little Princess Dancer!  Kaylee (5years).

I am keeping the dancing tradition alive.  I taught a dance class again this year for Kaylee's age group. (4-6).  There were 12 pretty little dancing girls in our class!!!  We had our recital this week!  It was sooo fun!  The girls did great!  We rented a clubhouse on the lake.  It was beautiful!  I sure loved teaching them all!  As you can see from the pics, they are small little girls, but very very cute!
Here are some pics from the night!
We did 2 dances.  (one from Enchanted, "Happy Working Song". The girls wore aprons and held cleaning supplies.  The other song was from Tangled, "Healing Encantation" with "I See The Light")
Look at those arabesques!  The pic was taken just seconds before they all got there.  But still cute!
Here is our little class of girls! (Kaylee is top right)
Grandma Kathie giving her little sweetie a squeeze!  Grandma came early and helped with the boys while I ran through the dances with the girls!  THANK you!
Grandpa Keith was there too, he was our guy outside letting people in to the parking lot, and he cleaned up afterwards!  Thanks!  I have amazing in-laws!  We just really missed Paul and Lynn too!
Kaylee and Mara!  Is it just me, or they absolutely beautiful?!
Kyle and I with our little dancer!  Great Job Kaylee!  And for the record, Kyle brought in a BUNCH of our band speakers, and set up an AwEsOmE sound system!  Thanks hun!

Konnor turned 3!

Konnor decided on a BUZZ LIGHTYEAR themed party this year.  Which turned out to be a fun task.  There are a lot of things to do with Toy Story and outer-space.  So below we have some of the highlights from our party last week.
Delicious Hot Shmoes, is from Toy Story 2.  Buzz says to Woody, "before long you will be sitting around the fire with Andy eating delicious hot shmoes."  Woody corrects him and says, "They're SMORES Buzz."  ha ha... one of Konnors fave. lines, so I made smores (aka shmoes) on a stick for him!
Bread sticks...
Had to have "Pizza Planet Pizza"

Konnor proudly wore the pin I got him... "Action Hero"
Konnor LOVES Gatorade.  So I found small bottles in the colors of the party.

The cupcakes were blue with green frosting.

This sign, I decided to just leave up this week, since it is Kyle's 30th Birthday on Saturday!
We had a fun party... I asked Konnor two weeks before the party, "Who do you want to invite to your party?"  He listed off his grandparents, me, Kyle, Kaylee and Kase.  Sister Christensen (in his 3 year old say of saying that)"  She is his nursery teacher at church!  SO cute!  I said, "Do you want any kids your age to come?"  He replied, "hmmm. Koen and Bridger."  Both boys live next door to us.  and then he said, "Penny"  She is in the Relief Society Presidency with me!  ha ha.  He has a thing for older ladies I guess!  So that is all the people we invited.  Small party, big fun!

Kaylee Quote!

FUNNY QUOTE:  A couple of weeks ago, Kaylee came up to me and said, "Mom, I am a gardener.  I am not a grater."  I said, "What made you say that?"  She said with all seriousness, "Well when you are in first or second grade you are a first-GRATER or a second-grater.  I am in kindergarden, so I am a kindergartner!  I am a gardener!!!"   LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What a little cutie pie I have for a daughter!  Kids think up the funniest things huh!
