Drawer a Day Challenge

I am in need of sorting through the junk in my house.  But I feel a little overwhelmed at tackling it all at once.  So this is going to be my challenge to myself this summer:  I am going to sort and clean through one drawer a day.  (mon-sat) until I get every drawer in my house cleaned out! Everything from the junk drawer to utensils, to sock drawer etc..  I think I can do that.  And if I get a longer time to commit on one day, who knows, I may just do 2 drawers!  But I think this is an obtainable goal.  If you want to join me, make a comment below and we can keep each other motivated to get our homes in order!
Let me know what is working for you in your home and what is not.  Good luck to us all in the battle to a cleaner and more efficient home!  After-all, the Lord wants our homes to be a house of order!

“Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God” (D&C 88:119).

Oi. I SO need to do this. Thanks for the good idea! When I run out of drawers, it's on to cupboards and that monster of a pantry. Good idea, Karen. Check up on me because I'm a notorious slacker.

Great idea!!! I think I will focus on my BOXES of crap that I still need to go through. So it will be one box oh crap a day for me.

So funny you should write this. I just finished de-junking a drawer and cleaning up 2 cluttered corners in our kitchen and have a long list of other areas to put some order too in the next few weeks. Love the plastic Sterilite shoe boxes to help organize things and you can get them at the dollar store.

I'll do it with you. Try combining two 5 bedroom houses and a 7 car garage space into one household. I've been getting rid of stuff for almost 2 years now. My rule is that I try to get rid of something everything I buy something new.
