Happy 7 Years!

7 Years ago (Feb. 12th) I married the man of my dreams!
We were married in the Manti LDS Temple.  It was -12 degrees when we took pics that morning.  YES that would be NEGATIVE!   But the snow was beautiful and so was the sealing.
Every year we have done something random.   We went to Vegas one year, stayed in the Grand America in SLC a couple of times, we went to a murder mystery dinner last year.  But since I am still nursing Kase, we couldn't be gone for long unless we brought him with.
So, this year we decided to keep things simple for our anniversary.  Kyle let me pick where we would go to dinner.  And since I was craving seafood, I figured it was a natural decision.
We went to Market Street Grill in South Jordan.  YUM!
Thanks to Grandma Kathie and Grandpa Paul for watching the 3 little ones for us!
Since it was just the two of us.  We took each others pics ha ha.
Then we got  our waitress to take one of the both of us.
We both ordered Lobster tail and a half rack of ribs!  WAY YUMMY!
Kyle got me a beautiful picture from Robert Boyd.  And I got him a new suit.  (we went shopping for his suit before we went to dinner.  ALONE!  and it was bliss!)

I am SO thankful for the past 7 years!  The life we have created together is more than I could have ever imagined!  I love you Kyle with all of my heart!  Thank you for who you are, the past 7 years, and our entire future together!

Happy Boy

Ok, So this is going to be somewhat of a random post.  FYI
Konnor and Kyle usually go out and do "manly things" together.  (Especially in the good weather months.)  Kyle will take Konnor on the 4-wheeler or on a mechanics adventure in the garage.  But since it is Feb. it has been a while since they had a manly one on one.  But today, something really sweet happened.  Konnor kept wanting fruit snacks.  And Kyle realized we all were hungry.  Kyle and I have head colds and were not up to cooking.  So, Kyle decided to go get Pizza, which is Konnors favorite thing to eat!  Konnor started giggling when he heard that dad was getting pizza.  And then Kyle asked Konnor if he wanted to go with him to pick it up. -Just the two of them.  Kyle told him to go upstairs and get shoes on.  So, I helped him upstairs and got him socks and shoes.  I asked him, "So, are you excited to go with daddy to get pizza?"  His response was priceless!  He was so happy he started to cry and said, "yes!!!!  I love daddy and I get go wiff him all by myseff to get pizza!"  Konnor (2 1/2years old) was crying tears of joy to be with his daddy!  That was sooooo sweet!

Takin Care of Business

Kaylee is in the restroom going poop, and I can hear her from the living room.  She is singing one of the songs our band plays.  The song is "TAKIN CARE OF BUSINESS" by: BTO
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

She has NO idea Kyle and I are laughing at the irony!

I love her!

Tooth Fairy Came!

A couple of weeks ago, Kaylee told me that she has 2 loose teeth.  I thought to myself, "Already?  Really?  I thought that wasn't for another year."  But I looked in that cute little mouth of hers, and sure enough, both her bottom middle teeth were wiggly!  And then it only took 2 days for one of them to fall out!  This is a silly pic of us, but you can see her missing tooth pretty good.
THE STORY:  We were eating lunch before Kindergarten, and she nervously said, "I don't want to swallow it."  I tried my best to comfort her 5year old sincere fear.  Then we were getting her jacket, and the boys in the truck, and she said, "MOM!  Come quick, it FELL OUT!"  I went into the bathroom and she was standing over our rug with a wide second position and hunched over.  She told me that her tongue pushed it out.  It landed on the carpet and she didn't want to touch it.  ha ha.  We were so excited, we called Dad at work, and all of her grandparents!  That night she put her tooth in a velvet jewelry box beside her pillow! The tooth fairy came and taped 4 quarters inside the pretty box.  And when she woke up that morning, she came running to find me, and said, "Mom!  The tooth fairy came!  She gave me 4 coins!"  I told her that we could go to the dollar store and she could buy whatever she wanted!  She quickly responded, "Lets go NOW!"  I said, "Honey we cant go right now, the store isn't even open yet.  It is only 7am!"  My witty daughter replied, "Well, lets go to Walmart then, they are always open!"

Quotes from Kaylees coloring

I found Kaylee coloring on a little piece of paper.  Curious me... I wanted to know what she was coloring on.  And just when I was about to get upset and tell her... "Kaylee!  You know we don't color on anything but coloring books and blank pieces of paper!"  I stopped to read the quote on the little piece of yellow paper, which quickly calmed my tired-mom-temper.
It read:
"What a glorious thing it is to know that we can choose our course, write our destiny, and determine our blessings.  it is not too late to choose.  The choice is ours, but we must choose this day whom we will serve."  -N. Eldon Tanner
It made me remember why I am here on this earth.  I was given a wonderful blessing to choose for myself.  I have my own personal agency.  As a mother, I am constantly trying to get my kids to see the bigger picture and learn to discern right from wrong and good from evil.  I want to choose to serve my Heavenly Father.  Not always do I manage to do a great job at that, but I am a work in progress and the choice is mine.  And I Made my choice. Hopefully my kids can follow my example in my decision to serve Him.

Snowman Party '11

 It's SNOWMAN PARTY time!!!!
Above:  Here are some of the snowmen in my house.  Some of which were crafts from previous snowman parties!
Below is the place setting.  It is a little dark.  But I thought it was cute non-the-less.
 Marie, Candita, and Damon
I made"Melted Snowman" aka... Soup.  It was Pasta Fagioli soup.  YUMMY!
Kaylee helped me make this "snowman cheeseball".  She put her barbie hat on him.  She said he should be a cowboy snowman.  ha ha
Here is Heathers "sledding snowman cake"  YUMMY  Chocolate Ganache cake!
Here is the crew making snowman buttons.
I didn't get a good pic, but Candace made "desecrated snowmen" aka... brownies.
My Mil, Kathie brought yummy "snowman smiles" aka... oranges.
I will have to add a pic of our little snowman button pins.  They were small, but cute.  Hope everyone had a good time this year.  If you didn't get an invite, don't be mad.  I wasn't that ambitious this year to have a BIG party.

My Konnor man!

Konnor is becoming quite the character!  He has such a fun imagination and is VERY active!  Here are a couple of fun pics of our little Kon-man!  Just look at these eyes peeking over the chair.  That is a sight I get to see every day at lunch time!
 Dimples!

Is this perfume for me?
Brotherly love!  He has been SO cute with Kase!  He calls him "Bee Bee".  And he sticks out his lips when he says it.

Crazy thing happened the other day...
I was upstairs getting ready, Kyle was in charge of the kids.  And I listened for the kids from upstairs.  I noticed that Konnor wasn't making ANY noise.  And when he is silent, he is up to NO GOOD!!!!  So, I asked Kyle if Konnor was with him.  He said, "No".  So Kyle, Kaylee and I went on a HUNT for Konnor all over the house.  We looked and looked and looked!  We couldn't find him anywhere.  I even called next door to see if he slipped outside or to their house.  I was starting to PANIC!  We all were!!
Then I went to look out these windows below...
And then I SAW THIS.....
HA HA HA HA HA... He fell asleep in the computer chair facing the window.  We couldn't see him at all.  Who would have guessed a 2 year old would be sitting in that chair above.  NOT US!  He bored himself to sleep looking out a window with the blinds closed.
We sure love that little bundle of cuteness!
