Quotes from Kaylees coloring

I found Kaylee coloring on a little piece of paper.  Curious me... I wanted to know what she was coloring on.  And just when I was about to get upset and tell her... "Kaylee!  You know we don't color on anything but coloring books and blank pieces of paper!"  I stopped to read the quote on the little piece of yellow paper, which quickly calmed my tired-mom-temper.
It read:
"What a glorious thing it is to know that we can choose our course, write our destiny, and determine our blessings.  it is not too late to choose.  The choice is ours, but we must choose this day whom we will serve."  -N. Eldon Tanner
It made me remember why I am here on this earth.  I was given a wonderful blessing to choose for myself.  I have my own personal agency.  As a mother, I am constantly trying to get my kids to see the bigger picture and learn to discern right from wrong and good from evil.  I want to choose to serve my Heavenly Father.  Not always do I manage to do a great job at that, but I am a work in progress and the choice is mine.  And I Made my choice. Hopefully my kids can follow my example in my decision to serve Him.

It's funny the unique ways things get back into perspective for us, isn't it? :)

I have had quite a few of those moments also, they seem to come right when we need them the most to help us remember whats truly important. Great post!

Very sweet...our kids truly are the reason we will get into heaven...if we just stop and listen (I know I struggle with that a lot)
