Easter Sunday

The day before Easter, we had a fun-family-Easter-egg-dying-session.  Poor Konnor was a little sick, but still enjoyed the fun with colors.  Kaylee was a color master!
Above: Resurrection Rolls.  VERY yummy and symbolic too!  Here is the recipe for those interested...
12 Rhodes Texas™ Rolls, thawed but still cold
12 jumbo marshmallows
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions

In a small bowl combine cinnamon and sugar. Roll out each roll into a 5 inch circle. Dip a marshmallow in butter and then in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place one marshmallow in the center of each 5 inch circle. Fold each side of the circle over the marshmallow, and pinch together to close. Place on a sprayed baking sheet, with the seam facing down. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap, and allow to double in size. Remove wrap and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Notes:

*For those of you who are interested in the symbolism of Resurrection Rolls*
Marshmallow - the body of Jesus
Melted Butter - the oils for embalming
Cinnamon/Sugar mixture - spices used to anoint the body
Roll- the wrapping of Jesus' body
Oven - the tomb
Cavity in roll - the empty tomb after Jesus has risen

Above:  My mom SURPRISED us on Easter!  She drove all night and got here just in time for our Annual Easter Dinner Party.  She even brought with her my FAVORITE Easter candy.  Cadbury Cream Eggs.  Ironically, I went to THREE stores and they were all out of them when I went shopping on Sat.  It just didn't feel like Easter without those blasted eggs.  And then my mom, drives them all night to me and hand delivers them to me.  She knows me VERY well.  Thanks mom!
Here were the place settings I came up with this year.  Glitter eggs on a stick, and I made name cards for each person.  Below:  Kase loving on Grandma Kathie!  (Check out that smile!)
Konnor loving on Grandpa Keith!  (Cute, even when he was sick!)
Kaylee loving up on Grandpa Paul!
(She loves it when he lets her play with his phone! Thanks Grandpa)
 Kyle, Kase, and I
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
