I read in a Parenting magazine about having a "Snowman Party" in January to keep the holidays alive for just a little longer. So, the idea was to decorate the house with everything Snowman. Kaylee and I made snowflakes and hung them from the ceiling, and we had just a couple neighbors be our testers of this new idea. (so, I apologize if you were not invited, it was very small) Everyone was suppose to bring their own snowman decor to show off. And we had a little potluck. It was a lot of fun. I made Pasta Fagioli soup (melted Italian snowman) and we made a cute little snowman craft. Shown at the end of the pics. I highly encourage you all to do a "Snowman Party" in the middle of January. It will be a new tradition in our home for sure! Thank you to all who came. Happy January!
Wendy, Ayden, and Marie (her sour face is because Marie is not much of a crafty gal) Ironically, her snowman was very cute.

Ladies working hard and having fun!

Grandma Kathie helping Kaylee paint her snowman!

The SNOWMAN CRAFT, very easy and fun to make with kids.
Tip: use a thick glue, not a thin Elmers glue.

It was fun! great idea. January is such a depressing month for some reason.. it's nice to have an excuse to keep the holidays alive.
I saw your title of your post and just had to comment cause I love snowmen. What a great idea, but where was the real snowman... oh wait the snow is too hard to make one. Next year if it snows durring your party you need to build a snow snowman outside and have snowball fights. You know how I love to see real snowman outside in front yards. It looks like you had a blast! Sounds fun.
That's cute...I too love snowmen...so I may have to consider this...but I must say I'm a little upset I wasn't invited!! Just kidding...I'll just have to remember that and not invite you to mine next year!! ;) Thanks for the idea though!! :) :) :)
That is such a cute idea! I need all the ideas I can get. We need to do a lunch sometime, I miss everyone from the ward
What a crafty lady you are! Can I buy some of your energy?
What a fun idea! And the craft is very cute!
But can I say . . . I am very much looking forward to a trip to bridal veil falls this summer in the warm, snow-free weather?!
