Kyle has officially entered the LAST year of his 20's. I told him to live it up, because it is all down here from there! ha ha. (Not really down hill, but he likes to tease me bc I am older than he is! So, it is payback!) I made him Lebanese Macaroni with my mom for his dinner and then I made: what we like to call the "Leaning Tower of Oreo". It was a yummy cake, but it didn't hold its shape very well. I did a triple layer of chocolate chunk cake. It had two layers of whipped cream filling that was full of oreo crumbles. "YUM", is all I have to say about that!
Hope you had a wonderful birthday hun! You are truly the center of my world and I am so blessed to have you as my husband!

Our Band!
This is our band playing at Thanksgiving Point a couple of weeks ago. We played for the UVU Carshow. It was a lot of fun. We even got to play 4 songs for Carmen Rasmussen (American Idol Finalist)!

This last pic is my favorite, because if you look closer or even click on the pic... you can tell that Kyle and I are dancing! I am multi-tasking dancing and playing bass at the same time!
Sorry it is not the best lighting in these photos.

Konnor Turned 2!
Konnor Man LOVES the movie "CARS".
So, it was an easy choice as to a theme for his 2nd Birthday Party!
The cake was a McQueen cake and we had "Tire cupcakes" too- or should I say "two".
We had "Grilled Lightyear" Tires (hamburgers)
Doc Hudson Hotdogs, Sarges Surplus (plates and napkins), Fillmores Organic Fruit Salad,
Pitstop Snacks, and Flos Fruit Punch.
(Traffic Lights) Made out of Twix and M&M's
Here is Konnor blowing out his 2 candles!
Here is Konnor and Kaylee with their cousins Brayden and Caleb as they sport their racing flags!
We had a Cars Quiz, and then played the name game. -Where you have a name on your back and you have to ask yes or no questions to figure out who you are. We all were different characters from the movie! That was an interesting game. My pictures didn't turn out well for that one. Sorry. But as you can see, I was Chick Hicks, and Kyle was Stanley. (I gave him a hard one) :)
And the BIRTHDAY BOY HIMSELF,.... KONNOR!!!!
Fun times had by all! Thank you to all those that came! It was a fun lil party.

Where to begin?!
Our yard has GRASS! It has some shrubs now too. We went to a local nursery and got two burning bushes and a lilac! Then Kyle's mom let us steal a few plants and a bush from her yard. (Sweet woman!) Now this week I will be planting FLOWERS! I am so excited! Make a comment of your fave. flowers to grow in the yard! I need some help!

EASTER!
We had our traditional Easter Egg Hunt with the neighbors the day before Easter. It was a big hit! The kids LOVED it, even though it was FrEeZiNg cold and windy! They didn't seem to mind one bit! Below: Kaylee on the hunt for eggs! You can tell by her face it was VERY windy and fun!
Here is the whole crew for the Easter Egg Hunt! Smiles and anticipation!!!!
Below: Kaylee at our little preschool Egg Dying Party. The girls (and Konnor) had a blast dying Easter eggs! They didn't even make a mess! SHOCKING, I KNOW!
Hooray for Konnor! He demolished this egg. You can't really tell in the pic, but just take my word for it. But he sure had fun doing it!
All of our Pre-Easter events were a LOT of fun! I will post our traditional Easter Dinner as soon as I can. I have been a little busy! Juggling toddlers, being prego, babysitting friends kids, teaching dance, and planning Relief Society meetings. Phew.... That made me tired just typing it all. ha ha

FHE IDEA for EASTER!
My friend Tionna, has a wonderful Family Home Evening lesson idea for this week. I thought I would share it. Easter is a special holiday. And it is NOT about the Easter Bunny. And for those of you that don't know what a "Family Home Evening" is: It is recommended by the LDS church to save one night a week for your family. It is a time to be together and learn about the gospel, and spend time as a family.
Here is the Lesson:
Type, print and cut apart the following scriptures, keeping them numbered from 1-12. Put them in correspondingly numbered plastic eggs. Add the appropriate item (in parenthesis) to the eggs except for the 12th egg which should remain symbolically empty.
1. Matthew 26:39 (sacrament cup)
2. Matthew 26:14-15 (3 dimes)
3. Matthew 27:1-2 (knotted twine)
4. Matthew 27:24-26 (chunk of soap)
5. Matthew 27:28-30 (square of red velvet)
6. Matthew 27:31-32 (toothpick cross, tiny nail)
7. Matthew 27:35-36 (dice)
8. Matthew 27:50-51;54 (tiny bag of crushed rock or soil)
9. Matthew 27:58-60 (strip of white cloth)
10. Matthew 27:60, 65-66 (a stone)
11. Mark 16:1, Matthew 28:2,5 (bay leaf)
12. Matthew 28:6 (empty)
LESSON: Use the eggs in numerical order to teach about the Easter story. Older children can follow along in their scriptures or give the lesson.
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter week and are able to remember the real reason for the holiday. That our Savior suffered and died for ALL of us. Then on the 3rd day after his crucifixion, he was resurrected! I know our Savior LIVES!
