Anniversary Fun

Kyle and I have now been married 6 years!
Here is a re-cap of what we did for our anniversary.Kyle sent me 18 long stem red roses! Kaylee couldn't keep her hands off of them! They were sooo pretty!
That night we went to a Murder Mystery Dinner. We had never been to one before, but always wanted to. So, we decided... what the heck! It ended up being VERY fun and entertaining! Since we were married on Feb. 12th... there are a lot of Valentine events going on! So it is very convenient! We went to the district in South Jordan. (We ran into Kyles mom and step dad...) It was SO random! They took our pics for us! Ha ha
I sure love him!
After the dinner and murder show.... you got to guess the details of the murder. Who? How? Motive? etc... Kyle and I guessed all of them right. We won both won a drawing for free movie tickets! So we got to go up with the cast and get a pic! (below)We had fun! We ate a lot of food, and laughed a lot! It was a nice night.
Thank you to Keith and Lynn for watching the kids so we could go out! You are the best!
Happy 6 Years to us!

SNOWMAN PARTY!

We made these Snowman jars and a melted snowman.
Below: Kaylee and I cheesin!
I just loved this look on Konnors face! I think he had fun too!For the decorations...Kaylee and I made snowflakes and hung them all around the house. We had twinkle lights in white and blue around too. We put out every snowman decoration we own!
What you see below is snowman and snowflake chicken nuggets! It is true! I even got them on sale. They totally had my name on them! (there were many more, but the kids dove into them before this pic!)
Shari's Un-Assembled Snowman
Grandma Kathie helping Kaylee with her melted snowman craft!

The ladies getting their craft on! ;)
Marie and Anthon's cupcakes! The cupcake holder is what my wonderful mother in-law got me for Christmas!
The main dish was a melted snowman. AKA: Soup.
Below: Snowman Collection...(and growing)
I found this idea in a Parenting mag. and it really is a fun tradition. It is our 2nd annual Snowman party. I hope to keep this up every year!

Toddler Dance Class

I just wanted to post about one of my new years goals being fulfilled. I am going to teach a toddler dance class! Kaylee is SO excited. And so am I! First of all, I love dancing! I have a passion for dance, and I have since a very young age. One of my many goals this year was to teach more often. Even though this is a "toddler" dance class, it still falls into the teaching dance category, right?! It will be a combo class of: ballet, jazz, and tumbling. This class will be held once a week! I am going to have a lot of fun with the girls, and I am hoping to have a performance at the end of the class. Plus, I am taking the average cost of dance instruction around the area, and cutting it by 65-70% of the cost! We will be the cheapest around!
I still have 2 slots open if any of you would like to sign your daughter up!

New Years Eve!

Happy New Year!!!!!
Let me just get one thing straight... all of you are wondering what is in those cups... I know what it looks like....but you are wrong, it is Martinelli's Sparkling Cider. I am holding two cups yes... one for me, and one for Kaylee. (So, you are just going to have to take my word for it! ha ha)

Every year that Kyle and I have been together we have a "Shrimp Party". We go to Kyle's dads house in Mt. Pleasant and we cook all sorts of shrimp! This year was a lot of fun! We had blackened shrimp, coconut shrimp, honey-walnut shrimp, shrimp coctail... to name a few... We watched the ball drop and then we lit some sparklers, and the men shot the guns outside! Plus: Kaylee stayed up with us until 1:30am! She is a little bundle of fun! Good times had by all! 2010 is going to be a good year, I can just feel it!

Christmas

Christmas day, we went to Kyle's Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's house.
I made them pose for this one.. someday they will thank me. ;)

This is: Kim, Kellie, Me, Kyle, with Kaylee and Konnor. We had a fun Sunday together!

Christmas Eve Party

This year we were the lucky ones to host the family Christmas party! It was so much fun to plan and organize!
Below: This is Konnor's gift from his aunts. BIG HIT!
Here is the family doing the "Chimes". We do this every year, and it is so fun to play Christmas songs all together as a family...
Table one...
Table two...
The appetizers!... YUM YUM (shrimp, eclairs, truffles, cookies, caramels, etc...)
This is my holiday Brownie Trifle! MMM mmm Good!
I had to take a pic of the place settings! I made place cards for everyone.
Take note to the solid gray plates... that was my Christmas gift from Kyle! I love them!
We also did a Nativity puppet show. I was in the puppet show, and didn't get any pics. But it was very cute. Grandma Valentine played the piano, we sang 3 songs throughout the puppet show, and Kyle narrated. Here were the parts... Kaylee- Mary, Danny-Joseph, Emily- Baby Jesus, Kellie- 3 Wise Men, Kim- Shepherds, Karen-Star, Danny-Nephites, Emily-Angel.
We hope to never forget the REAL meaning of Christmas, so the Nativity Puppet Show is going to be our new Christmas tradition.
