First Day of Kindergarten!

Kaylee on her first day of Kindergarten!  Aug. 25, 2010
The night before school we started a new tradition... A sack dinner!  It was a lot of fun.  Kaylee and Konnor liked it.  Then Kaylee recieved a blessing from Kyle, and that night she put her lunch pail by the door, and the "Magic School Bus" came and brought something for her to remember mom and dad by while she is at school.
Below:  Konnor kept creepin in on the pics!

Kaylee is in line about to go into her class.
Kaylee waving goodbye to mom and Konnor!
Kyle came to pick Kaylee up with us for her first day!  It was a family affair.
I can't believe how fast 5 years has gone by.  I sure love this little girl!!!!  And for the record, she assembled her own outfit for the first day!

Back to School Night!

Kaylee got to meet her teacher!  Mrs. Peterson!  Kaylee was SO excited!

She found her desk with her name on it!  She is posing as a "Thinker".
She is posing on the school stage!  "I am a Kindergartner this week!"
Konnor wanted to pose with Kaylee too!  He thought it was all very exciting!

Kindergarten Class Posted!

WE ARE ABOUT TO HAVE A KINDERGARTNER!
Kaylee is going to KINDERGARTEN!!!!!  This week her class list was posted.  She got to find out the name of her teacher and the names of her classmates.  She even knows one of the boys in her class from church!  Kaylee said, "I am glad Jaxon is in my class.  He is always really nice to me at church!"  I thought to myself, "OH GOOD!  I nice boy!"
Kaylee dancing and posing in front of the lists.
Konnor was jumping around saying, "Kay-ee go schoo! Yeah!"

Highland Splash Park

We went to the Highland Splash Park last week.  It was a fun place!
We did a last minute mother's group in our ward.
It was a ton of fun!  We had a picnic lunch and the kids played in the water!
I love being a mom.  I am a little sad, because Kaylee is starting Kindergarten this week.  And we will no longer get to spend all-day-every-day together.  These 5 years have gone  REALLY fast!  We have a couple more fun things planned before the big day next week.  Trying to make the most of our last few days before reality sets in.

Camping (round 3)

We went camping with Kathie & Paul, James & Ashley to Soap Stone Basin again.
It was a lot of fun!  One big highlight for Konnor was none other than the 4-WHEELERS!  He loves to ride them!  Grandpa Paul got him his very own 4-wheeler helmet.  We thought he would hate it, but nope... he will do anything he has to do or wear anything he has to wear... to get on a 4-wheeler!  Below:  Konnor with his helmet waiting for dad to start it.  Smiling in anticipation....

Here is Kon-man just after his ride with Daddy.

Here is Kaylee girl, with Grandpas walking stick.  Her highlights were exploring and hiking!

Here is Konnor hard at work, cleaning up our camp site!

Grandma Kathie had BOTH kids in her lap at the fire.
And they were SO GIGGLY!  They sure love their grandma!

Kaylee and Konnor in the tent in the early morning tying to pounce on Dad!
I sure love these 3!

Kyle brought his BIG guns camping.  (which he usually does)  But he got to shoot some exploding targets and scare the "pageebies" off of his mom!  ha ha
He shot 500 yards!  And I got to be his partner in crime.  Since he was 5 football fields away, we were on walkie-talkies, and I was on the hill where the target was, telling him how his shots were.  All I can say is I SURE TRUST HIM!  Because for the first 4 shots, I didn't even know where he was!!!!!!  I could NOT even see him, because he was SO FAR AWAY! The camo shirt didn't help me either.  Then He stood up, and waved real big, then I could pick him out.  Just in time for the last two shots.  He is a REALLY good shot!  Luckily, or I wouldn't be here blogging about it!  ha ha
Below:  Konnor with his ear gear on!  He is turning into quite the little "Kyle Jr.!"

Here is a pretty little fawn in our camp site!
And NO, for those of you wondering... Kyle did NOT shoot it.
We sure had fun!  Camping is such a fun family activity!
Thanks for Kathie and Paul letting us crash your camp site!

Animal Fun!

Kaylee and Mara with the baby pony.
Kaylee riding a little pony.  I am so happy my kids love horses!
Konnor was such a cutie pie on the horse... Since he is so small, I was suppose to walk with the pony an hold up my child.  Well, my professional horseman of a son didn't want me to hold him.  He kept saying, "No momma... I do it!"  ha ha.  So just I pretended to hold him so the guy running the ride, wouldn't kick us off!  And then Konnor was happy too.  Good times, good times.
My little posers!  This was one of many poses they did on the cow!
These pretty horses wanted to come see with Konnor!  The kids had fun looking at those horses.  They must have been 25 hands tall!
"A man has to work!"  Konnor was busy working on the conveyor belt.
 I love these two cutie-pies!
Konnors pose is always with a head tilt!  ha ha
My little 5 year old!
Thanks Shari for inviting us to tag along with you!  It was a lot of fun.

Before & After...

My pretty flowers BEFORE the big storm.

I love these Zinnias!
Ok, I just had to show you these pics I took!

AND AFTER.... (after the hail storm)

Sad day huh!

These were the red and white petunias that were HUGE...
Now you can't even see any flowers from the driveway.
Below: notice all the "dirt" on the sidewalk.... Well, that is NOT dirt.  Those are my flower petals! They were washed down the sidewalk!
Since that day last week, I have babied my flowers and purchased some more flowers to fill in.  It doesn't look quite this bad now, but it still made me sooooo sad!  All my work all summer long, being pregnant bending over every day to prune and deadhead went to WASTE!

Our Princess just before opening all of her gifts from Grandparents and aunts and uncles!

Our little family.

Grandma Lynn, Kaylee, & Grandpa Keith.  They drove from AZ. to be here to celebrate our little princesses birthday!  What dedicated grandparents!
I am a "whole hand"!!!!  (5 fingers)

Since Kaylee was born on Pioneer Day, we get fireworks every year on her birthday!  We had our own neighborhood firework display!  It was a lot of fun!  We had sparklers to the bigger ones that Daddy needed to light in the road!  He was our firework display man!
Konnor even got in on the action!  He loved the fireworks and was mesmerized by the lights!
